After returning from New York I was going through my notes on my phone and found this:
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean, but somehow in the midst of having a couple glasses of Champagne, it was very important for me to remember. Since I’m a resourceful girl who doesn’t like wasting anything, I thought it would make a great name for my latest cocktail creation. It’s actually perfect, because this drink is a sophisticated summer soiree in a glass. Concocted with vodka, coconut water, pineapple juice and basil, it’s completely refreshing and bikini friendly. Cheers to that!
Madison Bikini Party Cocktail
Makes 1 drink
½ cup chopped fresh pineapple
4 large basil leaves, plus some for garnish
2 ounces coconut water
1 healthy ounce of vodka
Muddle the pineapple and basil until it’s all macerated. Add the coconut water and vodka. Fill a cup with ice. Place the top on the cup and shake for 7 seconds. Strain and pour over ice.
