Ruth Stout said it right, “I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.”
Today marks the first day of spring and indeed, spring has arrived in Santa Barbara. The sun is out, the air is cool and fragrant. My garden is flourishing with so many treasures. Here’s to the best way to greet spring— in a garden.
My first rose of the season is the pretty Valencia hybrid tea rose.
Ranunculi.
Scabiosa.
Anemone's remain closed until the sun comes out and then...pop!
Helleborus.
My first year having cherry trees. They are such beautiful specimens.
